B&B Organics brings you the rare bamboo rice that you can enjoy with any Indian cuisine. Bamboo rice is the seeds of a flowering bamboo tree that grows at the end of its life span. It is a rare short grain rice as it takes many years for a bamboo tree to flower and grow seeds. It has a unique aroma and a delightful colour. Bamboo rice has no fat content, has a low GI, and is full of B vitamins.
Cultivation: Bamboo rice is collected from dying bamboo trees. When a fully grown bamboo tree reaches its last stage of life, its flowers turn into these nutritious seeds. Since bamboo trees nearly take five years or more to grow, bamboo rice is a rare food.

Ingredients:
Bamboo rice 1 cupFull cream milk 4 cupsCondensed sweetened milk 1 cupGreen cardamom powder ¼ tablespoonGhee/clarified butter 1 tablespoonCashew nutsRaisins. Method:
Wash and soak bamboo rice for 3 to 4 hours.Pressure cook bamboo rice in 3 cups of milk for 3 whistles.In a pan, roast the cashew nuts till golden, and then add raisins.Add one more cup of milk and cook on a medium flame when the pressure releases.Keep stirring on medium flame.Add the cardamom powder when it becomes softer.Mix well and add the required cup of condensed milk.
Bring it to a simmer and remove it from heat.Garnish with cashew nuts and raisins.Serve hot.
